NRN Data: Activity-Based Training = Functional Recovery
I just recieved a 2012 publication edited by Volker Dietz, Tobias Nef and William Zev Rymer, entitled Neurorehabilitation Technology which focuses on all the available data and research on locomotor technology and it effects, not just on SCI patients, but also stroke, MS etc. Don't know the price but my brother-in-law seems to have got it from Amazon for me. The editors are based in Switzerland and USA. It is written for medical professionals but is understandable to a lay person such as myself who has spent the last 6 years trying to learn about my condition Transverse Myelitis which has left me with incomplete paraplegia and which neurologists seem to know little about. I have regained and maintained to walk with significant deficits but I have refused to remain in a wheelchair and have done regular exercise programs since the acute onset of my illness 6 years ago both in rehab and beyond.
