Hi Kristin, just wanted to give you basic info about expirence as a newbie in SCI world I had to learn for my self cause I was never told about basic care after rehab.. As for having cushion for shower chair, toilet seat rise in which I was created and glued rubber slipper on them. I say this because when I was first let go from rehab, I received pressure sore due to transfer with a toss not know how delicate my bottom has become with no feelings. So its important for new SCI to knw this!

I am a physical therapy student at Northeastern University looking to get involved in the spinal cord rehab fields. I am starting a co-op program and hopefully working at Boston Medical Center, Mass General Hospital, or Spaulding Rehab Facility. I would love to hear about people's stories and learn more about the field, especially how, as a future therapist, I could improve treatment. This field is truly inspiring especially the strides researchers have made and the vitality of the patients.
