Running the Strip
By
Run With Doug
As I mentioned in
yesterday’s blog
, I’m traveling for business this week and had to run early yesterday morning, and this morning, to avoid desert heat. On TR’s
Facebook page
, I stated that running at 5 am allows one to see "sights" not available at regular hours. At 5 AM the streets are populated by people that make Vegas famous.
Running down the strip was like running through a live version of
COPS
. Yet the sights and smells of COPS was countered by an amazing sun rise that painted the surrounding mountains a brilliant desert red. I couldn’t capture the red before my run ended, but I’m still pasting in, just for you, a nice mountain picture. Training for a marathon will keep you out of trouble - early to bed, early to run.

Hi Doug,
5am??? How did you get up? And when did you go to bed the night before to actually manage it to get up? :)
