There’s nothing more satisfying than being heard, and few things more soul-enriching than being part of a movement for change. “So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable.” -Christopher Reeve

Senate Vote on UN Treaty Unacceptable for the Disability Community
By
HCMStrategists
Last week
, we told you that the Senate voted against a UN treaty that would ban discrimination against people with disabilities. This vote was incredibly disappointing to the Foundation. Whatever reason they had for voting down the treaty, we still share your concern that discrimination against disabilities is a universal issue. We support you and we are still fighting for your rights. This vote is
not
acceptable, and with your help, we will do everything we can to ensure that disability rights are protected and upheld. The Senate may have voted against the treaty, but they cannot hold us back. We will continue to keep you updated as opportunities arise to make your voices heard, and we will continue promoting the rights of the disability community.
