Researchers at UMass Medical School received a grant from NIH to better understand the experiences of women with physical (mobility) disabilities around the time of pregnancy. Focus groups will be conducted with women with physical (mobility) disabilities in several locations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The next focus group has been scheduled for Boston.

Next focus groups:
  • Thursday, October 24th from 5-7pm in Boston
  • Thursday, November 14th from 5-7pm in Boston
To participate, an individual must:
• have a physical or mobility disability
• have given birth to a baby within the last seven years
• live in the community in either Massachusetts or Rhode Island
• speak English
• be between 21-55 years of age

Anyone interested should contact Lauren Smith by phone at 508-856-8346 or by email at Lauren.smith@umassmed.edu. Please contact us even if you are not able to attend either of the above dates because we are planning other focus groups.
