We've compiled a list of apps for SmartPhones (including iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry) that benefit people living with paralysis of any kind. The list is constructed from a wide range of apps and includes those that were specifically created for wheelchair users as well as apps that might just improve the quality of life for anyone including people living with paralysis.
Read the article and post your favorites here.

I use a mouth stick for pretty much everything. As a C2/3 quad, it's my primary option, and one that works well, usually. In the case of touch screens on iPods, iPhones, iPads, and several other devices, a mouth stick is useless.
This technology requires the small amount of electricity produced by touch. If you're using an object such as a pen or mouth stick, this requirement isn't met. I have seen and tried a Stylus, a pointer like a pen made for touch screens, but it still requires touch. If this is somehow attached to the end of a mouth stick, it needs a wire or similar that will go from the Stylus to your mouth or skin. For me, this looks like great potential for being scratched.
These are great products that can make life easier. However, be careful if you don't have control of your arms or hands.

My son Ricky, (C4/5) found the application "Air Mouse" only 3 months after his injury. This application allows his Iphone to convert into a mouse pad. He is able to use his laptop using only his thumb. Unlike other programs that require voice command and a silent back ground, this app is so easy to use and it does wonders!!
I wrote to Apple and I have given this information to Shepherd, Kennedy Krieger and Woodrow Wilson Institutes but no one has really understood the benefits of this application. I can send you a video of my son using it or any additional information you need.
Thank you for everything you do!!

Despite all the hype over iPads and iPhones, I never really go into them. I only just got a not so old-school phone anymore (meaning one that doesn't flip anymore) about two months ago. Last week though, I played around with an iPad and some of the apps on there.
I quickly became addicted to one app called Tap Tap Radiation. It was exactly what the name says, tapping, and reminded me a lot of Guitar Hero. Plus, it made you think fast and kept your fingers moving.
In our App guide it fell under the Games and Entertainment category.
