I wanted to open this post so people can share some of their favorite quotes with the rest of the paralysis community. A great quote can be a great way to start your day just like a nice cup of coffee, tea, or orange juice.
This quote I am going to share is one of my all time favorites when I post it on facebook from time to time people always love it. The ironic thing is that I came across this quote while looking up a recipe for a fruit salad.
“Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit...wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.”
So please everyone share the love of a great quote

Great forum Jenn!
Looking for a great quotation? One name always comes to mind. Randy Pausch.
His book The Last Lecture is full of uplifting and very true words, no matter what the situation. Despite knowing he was living with terminal pancreatic cancer, he was by far one of the most positive and remarkable people I've heard of.
The actual lecture I have not seen, but his words reflect what it means to achieve your childhood dreams and how to undoubtedly live every moment as if it were your last, even if there are some 'brick walls' in your way.
I have several favorites, but here is one that stands out - "It's important to have specific dreams. Dream big. Dream without fear."
Simply put and simply true!
Take a look here for lots more great Randy Pausch quotations. Or even better, read the book!

I was fiddling around on my computer last night and came across a whole document full of quotations from all different sources I've saved over the years (including lots more from Randy Pausch.
Here's a quotation from my all-time favorite pro-athlete, Dan Marino:
“It’s okay to dream big dreams, as long as you’re willing to work towards those dreams. Never look back and say, ‘If only I had done this or that, I could have reached my dream.’ Give it everything you’ve got and take advantage of every opportunity. If you do, your dreams will come true.”

I just read "Eat, Pray, Love" a simply motivating and spiritual book. Here is a quote that I plan to carry with me every day in my heart...
"[My guru] says that people universally tend to think that happiness is a stroke of luck, something that will maybe descend upon you like fine weather if you are fortunate enough. But that's not how happiness works. Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it..."

Tiffany, those are great words! Have you seen the movie yet? I'm a big book reader first then I watch a movie.
Speaking of movies, here is another great line from a classic movie - Ferris Bueller's Day Off...
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop to look around once in awhile, you could miss it."

I have not! But in time hopefully I'll read it and watch it!
Another great quotation by the way.. this time, from Christopher himself from which he wrote in Nothing Is Impossible.
“…in bringing up children and relating to others, sometimes being is more important than doing. I was also to learn that even if you can’t move, you can have a powerful effect with what you say.”
Well said, Christopher.

Posting another favorite of mine...
This line is from the song 'It's Amazing' by Jem. Simple line but says a lot and speaks to everyone.
"Nothing can compare to deserving your dreams."
- Jem
Doesn't matter what your dream is, go for it, no questions asked!
