Do any of you experience a 'burning' sensation?

<P>Someone in my family has a c5 incomplete injury. He often complains of his sides &amp; back 'burning'. He went to a doctor and basically dr. just wanted to give him rx for oxycotin. He doesn't like taking pain pills...especially ones that are... .'that intense/crazy'</P><P>I'm guessing it's because of the nerves? Do any of you experience this or what do you do for the pain? He's 21, and had his accident over 2 years ago. Thanks.</P>

Help Somebody Please

My brother was shot in June and was left paralyzed from the chest down. I am his care giver. Taking care of him is not near as bad as I thought really it's his health problems that have us all miserable.Has anyone ever experienced this with a new injury? He will go for about 3 day of feeling sick, he sweats profusely on his face, head, arms, and is freezing cold no matter how hot it is, no matter how bundled up he is. He will not eat when he feels like this and I have to force him to drink. They actually readmitted him to rehab for another month to figure this out and sent him home telling me they are all clueless. They sent him home this time on so many drugs that he was like a zombie. Maybe that's what they do when they can't figure out what is wrong with a person. They say they have never seen this before and they are totally baffled. He will sweat so bad that he has dehydrated twice and had to be rushed to the hospital. Then it all goes away for a few days then it all returns again. I don't know who to turn to or where to take him to get some answers.

Brother-In-Law is a New Injury--Parenting With a Disability

This question was posted in the "Post a Comment" section of the Community by Michael. I have moved it to the New Injury forum so others can respond.[b]Michael My name is Michael Stein. My brother-in-law suffered a C4-C5 injury a month ago, and is still in the ICU. He's doing better, and seems to have a remarkably positive attitude, but his diagnosis was a complete injury that would leave him as a quadriplegic. He has eight children (oldest is 15) and another on the way. Can anyone refer me to books or resources for children of paralyzed parents? The kids' resources I've seen so far are aimed at disabled children. Thank you!!
