Are there any women wrestlers like Mildred Burke left.......?
    By Michael
Hi, my name is Mike, I am from New Zealand/Aotearoa and I ask is there any women wrestlers like the famous Mildred Burke in the US? I came across a photograph of Mildred Burke in a wrestling magazine. The photo showed a very strong, pert woman brandishing a very impressive set of biceps.
I was so impressed with this woman I investigated or did some research. I  found out that Mildred Burke prevailed against the odds by defying the fairer gender stereotype and escaped poverty by becoming one of the first woman wrestling champions in the professional era.
She wasn't fake she had rare talent, ability and in spite of small physical stature she successfully beat many men and women to retain title.
She was a pioneer, she lived out her dream and she challenged the gender stereotype. What a woman! Is there any American women out there like Mildred Burke?
