A Change In The Blink Of An Eye
    By ParaHorseGirl
    A little about me :)
    My name is Rachel Griffith,
On September 19th, 2010 I was in a car accident, I lost control of my Chevy s10, the ground was slick that day. It slide off the road and flipped hitting a tree, my side was crushed my passenger only had a few scratches. I on the other hand was trapped, they had to use the jaws of life to get me out. Then I was loaded in an ambulance to ride over to life flight who was in a hay field across the road, where I was taken to Legacy Emanuel Hospital. There I was put through many tests, they found out I had broken many ribs, my scapula's, and my back, paralyzing me at the T10-T11. I then went through a 10 hour surgery to fix my back, and a week from then they had to use some of my rib as well as other things it lasted 8 hours. I spent 64 days in the hospital.

    Hi Rachel,
Thank you for sharing your story and for the video you made. You really do seem to be a remarkable person who is surrounded by family and friends. I too was injured last year on April 6th. Sending my best wishes for wonderful holiday.

hi rachel, i too was went from normal to paralyzed in seconds.  i had a car accident in 1990, leaving me c6-7 spinal cord injury. i spent a year and 1/2 in the hospital, 404 days of that in bed.  eventually i was able to get up. (read my story under tell us about you on page 2)  the important thing is a positive attitude and taking one day at a time.  i'll say a prayer for you.
