What are your everyday thoughts, questions, concerns, successes, and challenges?
I don't know if your PCA is a relative, friend or hired employee, but if it is the latter then I would ask her who she thinks the customer is. If it is either of the former than a more negotiated tact is in order.
Hi- I think it's perfectly fine to make those requests. You are entitled to look the way you want as if you were doing it yourself. As long as your making your requests in a pleasant manner and not yelling at the PCA. I'm the same way! When I look good...I feel good! Also, you can never be too cautious when it comes to catheters.
If that is what you want then that is the way the person is to do it. Often times a person that is helping you may just want to do things their way and make you feel that you are being difficult. If they are there to help you then they are to do things your way, NOT their way. I had a family member and also a friend hired to help me and I wound up firing them, because they wanted to do things their way and not listen to how I wanted things done. Listen, it is you that has to wear the bag and it is you that has to feel comfortable.
