What are your everyday thoughts, questions, concerns, successes, and challenges?
As you're finding out, there's not much out there for a woman, wheelchair and pregancy all in one. Congratulations on your soon to be newest member of your family. I sent you a friend message. I'd like to give you help on what helped me. I'm a T-12/L-1 Para for the past 18 years.
I hope to hear from you.
Wow! That's great news! I am a t6-7 para for 36 years. My kids are 22 and 24. I had a crib with a side you could put down all the way. My Mom would tease me that I was practically crawling into the crib with my kids, but it worked for me. I used a firm pillow to carry my babies on my lap for the first few months and they both adapted to me very well. I remember being nervous about giving my first born a bath, so I got help with that the first time, but it wasn't difficult once I decided to try it on my own. You will figure it all out and be a great mom!
Hello,I saw an episode of Extreme makeover, that had a crib with side door to make access level for a person in a wheelchair. If there is a way to contact them to find out who makes that crib. I hope this can help you. God bless.
