please give us an update about Danny's wound and the results of the colonoscopy? But just as important here is your mental, physical and spiritual health. The metaphor that's often used for caregivers is about what happens when we first takeoff in an airplane and the stewardess tells us that in case of a pressure problem we should put the oxygen masks on ourselves first and then our children.
As many problems as you have, nothing gets resolved well if you are too depressed, too manic or too anxious.
I don't know about your medication regimen or who you see for it, but maybe that needs a review in light of this crisis.
You might not have the time or finances to see a therapist, but there is still much you can do. If you are a reader, I highly recommend "The Mindful Way through Depression: Freeing Yourself from Chronic Unhappiness" by Mark Williams and others. The Kindle edition is $9.44 and the paperback is around $15. The book gives you very real tools that have been proven through research to be effective.
And please please take some time every day to care for yourself. If it's only to sit outside with a cup of tea and smell the air for a half-hour, it has an amazing affect on your body/brain.
I don't want to minimize what you are going through, your story is overwhelming to read so I can only imagine what it's like to live through this. Please stay in touch and please send my best to Danny.
