    Stories on Caregiving
    By JLo
I came across this article yesterday in the newspaper and wanted to share it. It applies to more than just caregivers of individuals living with a spinal cord injury. Daughters bear brunt of caregiving is a piece that follows a daughter who takes care of her father who is living with Alzheimer's.

Whether you are a caregiver or not, know someone who is, or want to read a well-written piece, take a look.

Here's more on Caregivers from our Paralysis Resource Center.

I also wanted to add for those family caregivers out there, there is great website called caregiver.com. They have a section on Financial Relief for Family Caregivers where you can search for assistance programs by state.

    http://www.caregiver.com/regionalresources/financial/index.htm

There is also a section of their website dedicated to Local Resource sand Support Groups.

Being a caregiver to a family member is a full time job and it is important to stay  connected to a support system and resources in your area.

Saralee Perel recently wrote another wonderful and insightful column... this time about caregiving. She has written before about her husband Bob, this story in particular is about Bob and the role he takes on as a caregiver.

    Have a look!
