I'm looking for some suggestions on this somewhat sensitive topic.
I transfer using a sliding board. During the act of transferring my briefs bunch up into my leg crevices, sometimes crimping my in-dwelling catheter and causing and promoting crotch rot.
My SCI Doctor has told me to simply not wear any underwear, but to prevent any back end abrasions and to protect my fragile skin I feel a pair of man panties is required.
To reduce the chance of my catheter crimping and to relieve the bunching I cut off the elastic banding/seam from where the crotch is sewn together all the way up to the top off the thigh.
Even with all of the prevention, when I perform my pressure releases, all of my junk once again hangs low thus requiring additonal "man handling" post the pressure release.
Can anyone share their "best practices" on preventing crotch rot and not crimping up their catheter tubing? Constantly picking at my crotch is a smelling undertaking.
