Every donation to the Reeve Foundation is meaningful, and especially so for contributions made in memory of loved ones. When friends and community members designate or make such tribute gifts, the impact of this special support is so powerful.
We received a call last week from Julie Reeves, whose father, Leo Durbala, passed away the week before after a courageous battle with lymphoma. Hearing Julie talk tearfully of her dear dad was so moving, as was the commitment to the Reeve Foundation's mission she conveyed on behalf of her family which includes her nephew living with spinal cord injury.
We just had to share this photo of Leo, whose smile shines as brightly as his legacy. As we express our heartfelt condolences and thanks to Leo's loved ones, we hope they take comfort and strength in the positive difference their generosity is making in the lives of individuals living with spinal cord injury.
