New book from friend of the Reeve Foundation, Joshua Prager, Half-Life, is something we encourage our community readers to read. From his website:
Twenty-two years ago, a truck hit the bus Joshua Prager was riding in Jerusalem, ending his life as an athletic nineteen-year-old. He then began a new life that required relearning how to breathe, sit, stand and walk. In Half-Life, Prager returns to Jerusalem and recounts, in poetic detail, the long journey that has constituted the second nineteen years of his life (and beyond).
Rich in literary allusion and bursting in heart, “Half-Life” is as much about the growth of a mind and the acquisition of a philosophy equal to the challenge of suffering as it is about the loss of physical powers.
It is available from Amazon.com or iTunes.
