Through our friend Rich Fabend
, I ran across David Jarrold of the Blackwood Foundation
in England and a cool new community.
Jarrold's foundation works to "support and enhance independent living." I mentioned two weeks ago how universal design is being used in the current season of This Old House
. I guess I'm putting out universal energy these days.
They have a new online community called "bespoken."
"We know that people come up with fixes and solutions on a regular basis," says Jarrold, "and we wanted to share these solutions with everyone. bespoken is basically an international, self-supporting community of real life experts in living independently."
You should check out www.bespoken.me
. They have some great videos and they are gathering more knowledge and ideas everyday. Add your two-cents.
