is very saddened by the news of the passing of the beloved father of Mihra Seta-Hebib, one of our incredibly dedicated Chicago volunteers and supporters who also is an advocate and champion for all people living with spinal cord injury.
The Setas moved to Chicago from Sarajevo in 1994, after Mihra's father, Himzo, was shot by a sniper while putting his children to bed. During the nearly two decades since, Himzo has overcome many challenges living with spinal cord injury, and he and Mihra's mother, Fata, have proudly watched their children become successful adults who give back to their communities. Himzo and Fata welcomed their first grandchild, Leila, last year.
In lieu of flowers, friends and loved ones are asked to make a donation in memory of Himzo Seta
