This is where the staff of the Reeve Foundation is sharing up-to-the-minute information and putting some context around the news affecting the spinal cord injury and paralysis community. Our friends over at the Kessler Foundation are making news with one of the exoskeletons:

The Kessler Foundation grabbed one of Ekso Bionics' Ekso units and gave six people with severe spinal injuries, including a tetraplegic, the chance to walk. It's part of a trial study to examine the effects of walking for wheelchair-users, to see if it's better for their overall health or if it could contribute to their rehabilitation.

There is a great video that explains the role and possibilities of the exoskeleton. You also get to hear from some of the people in the trial.

If you are looking for other mobility option, check out our overview of wheelchairs, both manual and motorized, and watch our wheelchair comparison videos.
