Intention Media Inc. announces a special screening of the film Beyond The Chair, with proceeds to benefit the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation and The Friends of Californians with Disabilities, Inc. and their support given to the Media Access Office and the Media Access Awards on December 13th, 2011 at The Laemmle Music Hall. Special Guests include comedian, author and actress Geri Jewell and Angela Rockwood, Ambassador for the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

Beyond the Chair is the story of an ordinary man, Andrew Shelley, living the American Dream. He leads a successful life as an engineer and a single bachelor. Just beneath the surface, he is unhappy with the expectations and perceptions that society puts on him. He sees his life as the result of choices laid out by everyone but himself. It’s time to become the man he wants to be, so he sets out on a backpacking journey across the world to find out exactly who he is. But there is one catch; Andrew is using a wheelchair because he is living with Muscular Dystrophy, a disease that has deteriorated his body down to 90 lbs. How will he survive this journey? Maybe more importantly, will he find what he is searching for before it is too late?

Don't miss out, get your tickets now!
