Rutgers football player Eric LeGrand has begin analyst work on gameday. During a recent interview about his gameday analyst performance, he also discussed the next phase of his therapy.
Asked where he is in his recovery, LeGrand said: "I'm up to standing for 40 minutes at a time."
In the near future, LeGrand will begin further intensive therapy at the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation NeuroRecovery Network at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange, N.J.
"I'm very encouraged," LeGrand said, "but each step is a milestone, but I don't settle for it."
LeGrand told The Post that he looks forward to the day when he is dancing again.
Asked if he has any doubt that he will walk again, he said: "No, I don't have any doubt." Asked why he doesn't, he said: "Because I believe this happened for a reason. I believe there's something bigger out of this, just to show a true miracle . . . this is what He's doing . . . It can inspire a lot of people also."
