This is where the staff of the Reeve Foundation is sharing up-to-the-minute information and putting some context around the news affecting the spinal cord injury and paralysis community. Not to mention insight into what's going on here at the Foundation. Feel free to comment and offer suggestions. We'll respond.

The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation comes from a strong legacy, built not only from Christopher Reeve’s courage and dedication to forwarding paralysis research, but also from Dana Reeve’s tireless efforts to make family care and knowledge about paralysis accessible for those who need it. Their compassion and devotion have helped bring national awareness to approximately 6 million Americans.

On Smallville, there is another legacy that we hope will endure past this February when the series airs it final arc for a certain character; Chloe Sullivan, (right) the incisive and driven reporter, friend, and support system for Clark Kent. She has been his Girl Friday, his confidant, and a hero throughout the series’ ten year run and as the show draws to an end this year, her tenure on Smallville will conclude.

Throughout her decade on television, Chloe has served as a role model for young women across the globe. She has shown them what it is to follow a dream, love a career, and aspire to it even at a young age. Her courage and compassion has made her an asset and beacon among the Justice League. She’s become legendary in her own right and this year, has been given the honor of becoming a DC comics character who is changing the Superman legacy in her own way.

It is from a desire to emulate and honor Chloe Sullivan and to follow her legacy of bravery, persistence and heart that we formed Legendary Women, Inc. We want to spread awareness of wonderful charities such as The Reeve Foundation and highlight great role models for women like Dana Reeve and Chloe Sullivan.

It is with this in mind that we are thrilled to be able to donate $1500, raised with the help of nearly 40 individuals from across the globe, to the foundation in support of the work that Christopher and Dana Reeve started and that still lives on through their organization.

“Go Forward” and keep up the great work!

Sincerely,
Legendary Women, Inc.
