The Reeve Foundation Champions Committee, joined by Hayden Christensen (pictured at right with Matthew Reeve) and Dior Beauty hosted a successful and fun-filled sold-out summer party last night at the Boom Boom Room in New York City.
Fashion and fundraising joined forces as Christensen, Allure magazine editor-in-chief Linda Wells, and many more welcomed supporters of the Reeve Foundation, including friends of the Foundation Jesse McConnell and Taylor Price, pictured below.
Matthew, Alexandra, and Will Reeve were in attendance to carry on the legacy of Christopher & Dana. Helping them to carry on that legacy, the Champions Committee brings together the next generation of enthusiastic, philanthropic individuals in the New York area to help further the Foundation's important work.
Francesco Clark, ambassador for the Foundation, was in attendance and spoke about the importance of Reeve Foundation mission. Francesco is founder of beauty and skincare line, Clark's Botanicals. Alexandra (pictured with Francesco at right) also spoke the following:
Even with the law on their side, people living with disabilities face enormous challenges to live independently, to find work, and to access the health care and other resources they need. At the Reeve Foundation we’re working to address those challenges. We fund programs across the country to help people with disabilities lead more active and fulfilled lives: everything from employment programs, to accessibility initiatives, children’s programs, arts programs, and adaptive sports. We fund the most cutting edge research to develop treatments and therapies for people with spinal cord injury.
And our trained counselors at the Reeve Paralysis Resource Center provide a vital lifeline to individuals and their families as they navigate the complexities of living with disability.
This cause matters a tremendous amount not only to me and my family, but to many, many people across the U.S. and the world. It means a lot to have so many friends -- and so many new faces -- here supporting us this evening. Thank you for your generosity and your commitment to our mission. This evening is one of a series of great events that we hold to raise funds and spread awareness for the Reeve Foundation, so please look out for our events and help us keep the momentum from this great night spilling well into the future.
