US Access Board Webinar On Accessibility

d0b45be5e7c4ad34941d0a17a98622db-huge-usOn March 24, the US Access Board will host a Q&A webinar on their accessibility activities. The Access Board is in charge of developing technical standards for accessibility, and as of this month, they are 3 years behind in issuing standards on accessible medical diagnostic equipment, like exam tables, scales, and X-ray and mammography equipment. The Department of Health and Human Services and Department of Justice have already said that they will enforce the standards once the Access Board releases them.

This is a great opportunity for our community to attend to ask the question: When will the access board finalize standards for medical diagnostic equipment? Register and submit questions in advance at the Great Lakes ADA Center - Accessibility Online. Organizing to ask these questions will help the Access Board see how much these standards are needed.
