Paolo, I agree being Sam is employed by CDRF he has an agenda to follow and it ain't always for our best interests but more about the buddies they have in big pharma. It is not grassroots at all here and went downhill since Chris passed away.

I say cr org needs to be living upto cr's goals and they become all about feely good ####, not the stuff chris wanted. Does cr org give a #### what we want? if so why don't they respond to our posts? @ Paolo, Yes it is a joke and they expect us to be happy with their feel good articles. Hopefully you are right that the community at large is waking up. I don't see that here at all as I started a post about altruism which was suggested by Sam , but he never even got into it. They treat us like a comodity and use us to keep their organizations in the black but don't hear us at all.

Since Christopher Reeve is gone, so is the URGENCY. Rather than debate if it's ok or not for a tv show to have an able body actor in a wheelchair, where is the outrage about us hearing another 5 years over and over again, since methylprednisolone became a treatment for acute SCI in the early 90's. Oh yeah even that treatment has been found to be not worthy. All we hear is donate and donate, WHERE are the RESULTS they promised?

Yes, this story makes for good viewing, but it pales in comparison to the amount of useless and harmful treatments our FDA gives its blessings to. It's like they offer a license to practice snake oil with a fair amount of immunity. That's the big story, but you won't hear it on "60 Minutes"
