It's not a law but it's a new recommendation on keeping your child safe.
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center's Injury Prevention Coordinator, Stephanie Heitsch said, "Children are 75% safer riding rear facing and the deaths and injuries are a lot less."
The American Academy of Pediatrics is suggesting that children now ride rear facing until the age of two.
A decision made to help prevent child injuries.
She said, "When riding rear facing the impact of the crash is taken by the back of their car seat versus their body."
Heitsch said, "The biggest thing are spinal cord injuries and head injuries. Their spinal cord is not mature enough to take the impact of that crash."
