I've followed your posts for about a year now. Always look forward to them as they're very informative. With respect to this one, however, I'm a bit confused. Can this technique be performed on living organisms? I'm thinking it can't because it involves the removal of water, addition of an emulsion and the addition of stains. It seems that its benefit is that it reduces the work in obtaining a three dimensional image and increases the integrity and the accuracy of it as it doesn't require a reconstruction from two dimensional slices. But perhaps this is incorrect. Could you comment?
