The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation’s Team Reeve Conneticut is presenting its 2nd Annual Roll-A-Thon on Sunday September 25th 2011 to be held in Bushnell Park, Hartford, CT from 10.00am to 1.00 pm. (rain or shine).

This year’s Roll-A-Thon is building on the success of last year’s inaugural event which raised over $35,000, attracting many sponsors, local vendors and more than 300 participants. We are proud to announce the Unionville, Connecticut based McGovern Agency of All-State Insurance as this year’s Platinum Sponsor.

Events will include the Roll-A-Thon where teams of “rollers” will have fun negotiating a wheelchair accessible course through the park. Power chairs, manual chairs, assisted rollers and non-wheelchair users (chairs will be available for use!) are all encouraged to participate. The event hopes to bring together people who are dealing with paralysis and their family, caregivers and friends to network and understand the support available in CT. While donations of $25 are appreciated, they are not necessary to participate.

This year we are adding demonstrations and information on adaptive sports including basketball, bowling, soccer, rowing, sled hockey, golf and therapeutic riding.
