I enjoy being an advocate for people with disabilities. I am not afraid to speak my mind. I have a voice and I like to use it. I take pride in being able to help others. Whether it is helping a newly injured patient, or just offering my email or phone number to someone who needs to talk.
With a blink of an eye 2010 is almost over. This year definitely went by way too fast, but I wouldn't change what happened for anything. It was a very good year for me. I experienced so many new things due, in part, to being Ms. Wheelchair South Dakota.

My hometown of Sioux Falls, South Dakota is in the process of getting a new events center. It's newly elected Mayor Mike Huether's pet project; he wants the city to attract bigger and better concerts and sporting events, and to compete with other cities. I understand the need for a new events center, but personally I am quite content with our 50-year-old Sioux Falls Arena because they do accessibility right.
